CopyWrite for NT has been replaced by a suite of software designed to support A-Series Disk Farms on PCs, and Library/Maintenance Images on PCs. This package complements the A-Series CopyWrite suite. A CD-Image can be created directly on a PC from the A-Series, and files can be copied from the Image from the A-Series.
- A-Series Files can be copied to and from a Disk Farm, which is a directory on a PC, with each file being stored in a Capsule, a Library/Maintenance CD-Image which contains a single file.
- CD Images can be converted to Disk Farms and Disk Farms to CD Images. Mounted Library/Maintenance CDs can be converted to CD Images, or Disk Farms.
- The Burn DVD utility can burn Library/Maintenance CD Images up to 4.2 GigaBytes, using the Pioneer DVR-A04/104 DVD-R/RW Recorder. These DVDs are readable on the A-Series using a DVD-ROM/CD-ROM Reader. The MakeHybrid utility has been changed to support these large DVD/CD images. The Combine utility can merge multiple Library/Maintenance CD Images and Mounted Volumes into a single image. MultiVolume DVD Images can be created.
- There are a new set of utilities, encompassing the functionality of the former CopyWrite for NT, for managing files in Library/maintenance CD Volumes.
- CopyWrite on windows is installed using InstallShield.
- Files can be copied to an A-Series out of CD Images on a PC ( using the LOCKEDFILE syntax).
- The Disk Farm capsules and CD Images can be MULTIVOLUME, thus allowing files larger than a CD Image to be stored in a Disk Farm or CD Image.
- Disk Farms can be converted to CD Images.
- CD Images can be converted to Disk Farms.
- A mounted CD can be converted to either a CD Image or a Disk Farm.
Copywrite for NT is now more than ever the perfect companion to Copywrite on the A-Series. With increased functionality and power, managing your disc farms, creating CD images, and having the flexibility and reliability to convert files back and forth over the different platforms.

Distributed Disk Farm
The
Distributed Disk Farm feature allows native A-Series files to be copied to and from disk storage devices attached to Windows NT or Windows 2000 systems in a TCP/IP network. When the CopyWrite services are installed on a Windows 2000 system, the system becomes part of the
Library/Maintenance CopyWrite Native File Transfer Network.
This feature allows an enterprise to harness the immense disk resources which are often present on the network of PCs. The destination volume name of an A-Series WFL Copy statement is combined with the Disk Farm Root Directory on the Windows 2000 system, to create or locate a directory on the destination hostname. CopyWrite calls this directory the Windows Volume. Each capsule is formatted as an A-Series Library/Maintenance CD-ROM volume. This means that any of the individual files can be burnt directly onto CD-ROM media. Thus, they may be mounted and read by the MCP on an A-Series computer, or read by CopyWrite for NT, or CopyWrite on the A-Series can copy the file directly from the capsule.
