Metalogic and Infra Design announce exciting new development between their Supervisor and SURE products.

Infra Design's flagship product SURE is a powerful program source management and object distribution facility. Sure maintains a repository that holds, amongst other valuable information, object-code and jobsymbol information about your MCP application environment. This information can be accessed through a Windows application.

Metalogic's Supervisor product is a sophisticated operations automation package, using real time techniques to capture system events such as system messages, BOJ, EOJ, waiting entries, etc. Extensive scripting techniques allow the operations staff to detect and respond to many operational problems.

It is now possible to for Supervisor, using a remote library interface, to validate compile-time integrity of object and WFL application files with SURE at run time. This allows Supervisor, if an integrity mismatch is detected, to stop or abort the job or application-object and raise an alert by e-mail, SMS etc.

This functionality can also be used with Metalogic's FLEX product, allowing the operations staff to scan object or job directories while verifying their integrity through the SURE interface. Immediate steps can then be taken if any integrity mismatch is detected, like replacing the wrong (or illegal) versions with the correct versions.

Supervisor and SURE allow the use of multiple repositories should this be desired.
