◆ Supervisor and OPAL

This course is 4 days in duration and may be given in Stirling or locally at your site. The content will be useful for both new and existing customers who wish staff to become familiar with the operational facilities of Supervisor and programming with the OPAL compiler.

It is very desirable that students have a working knowledge of A-Series operations and some programming experience e.g. WFL, Algol, is essential.

For courses in Stirling, students will have access to Metalogic's own LX100 development system with full access, for the practical-based sections.

In day 3, there are a variety of practical exercises requiring the student to develop and test OPAL solutions to a variety of problems. Metalogic have attempted to make this a "hands-on" course so the emphasis is very much based on using the products with practical-based sessions.

Terminals and access to a Clearpath system will be available.

Although the TRIM Tape Library subsystem is not formally covered in this course, only a few hours will be needed to cover the basics of rule maintenance and is available if required.
