Advanced OPAL


This course is intended for experienced Supervisor OPAL programmers who wish to learn new techniques or use many of the advanced programming techniques available within the OPAL compiler. Previous completion of the standard Supervisor and OPAL course is a pre-requisite.

The course is typically 3-days in duration.

  • Using "variable variables
  • Optimization and testing of OPAL scripts
  • Using OPAL to control SUPERVISOR

  • LOG contexts introduction
  • Realtime and off-line SUMLOG processing

The course will include short multiple-choice sessions throughout and practical-based exercises on the final day.
