Luxembourg, officially Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, is a small country at the heart of the European Union, bounded by Belgium on the north and west, Germany on the east, and France on the south. Luxembourg forms the Low (or Benelux) Countries, along with Belgium and The Netherlands. The country has an area of 2,586 sq. km and it's population of 448,000 are largely of French or German backgrounds. The national language is called Letzenburgesch (Luxembourgisch) with most inhabitants being fluent in both French and German.
